2003 World Overall Masters & Juniors Championships

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Held in Madison over 5 days and co-directed by Brad and Karen Wendt, this event showcased our beautiful parks and enthusiastic volunteers. Many of the pioneers of disc sports throughout the nation were among the 76 athletes competing in 7 various disciplines of disc skills.

Wisconsin residents "Duster" Don Hoffman and Joe Fiedt inducted into PDGA Hall of Fame.



Santa Cruz didn't know what to do with these two in their midst.  They show here that they have a great sense of humor and a sweet tooth.

WDSA is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to serve on two new committees; Public Relations/Marketing and School Communications. Interested parties should submit a short paragraph including your background and qualifications for your selected committee and whether you would consider being a committee chair. Committee chair applicants should add a resume and plan for the committee. Committee size is flexible and a variety of backgrounds are encouraged. The committee chair will be appointed for one year with board approval each year following.

Andrew Van Lanen pictured here and Woody Wendt have earned three World Championships between them. They mastered accuracy, free style, distance, MTA-SCF, disc golf and disc-a-thon before most of us even picked up a disc.

BARRY SCHULTZ

At the 2013 PDGA Pro Worlds, Don Hoffman gave the speech to welcome his long time friend and three time World Champion, Barry Schultz, into the fraternity of International Hall of Fame members.  Since Barry turned pro in 1992, he has won three United States Disc Golf Championship titles, two Open Division World titles and two Masters World titles.
